Android Battery Saver Apps: Which Is Best For Evo, Samsung Galaxy S2, S3 And S4?

No matter what Android smartphone phone you own, finding ways to increase battery life can be a challenge. Using a battery saver app, along with known Android battery extending tweaks, can help your battery last even longer.

Owners of Android-based phones such as the HTC EVO, the Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 or Galaxy S4 in particular often complain about battery issues. You'll notice a difference in how long your battery lasts by downloading a battery saver app from the Google Play store.

Battery saver apps work different from task manager apps by shutting down your data when it's not in use. The app turns on data periodically throughout the day based on the user settings so you'll still get your emails. It doesn't interfere with phone calls or text messages.

Here are a three battery saver apps that I've tried that really extend your Android's battery life.

Juice Defender: Like most battery saver apps, Juice Defender shuts down data periodically. If you like customization, you'll like this app since it lets you manage your data to suit your needs. When your screen goes to sleep, it shuts off the data, turning it on and off throughout the day based on your settings. When you pick up your device and wake up the screen, the data automatically toggles on. Juice Defender also lets users customize the settings to only turn the data on when certain apps run. For example, you may not want your data constantly running in the background while you're playing a game app.

Easy Battery Saver: Another good app is Easy Battery Saver. This app is very user friendly and features built-in power saving modes that are already set. You can choose from General Saving Mode, Intelligent Saving Mode, Super Power Saving Mode and Advanced Customized Mode. I like this app because it has a battery monitoring feature that provides additional information such as what's consuming your battery and also estimates how much time you have left to talk, surf the web, listen to music or watch videos.

2X Battery Saver: This app not only saves battery, but provides you with in-depth battery monitoring information including battery voltage and temperature, percentage of battery used so far. 2X Battery Saver even tells you how much battery you've saved by using the app and how much time you have left until your battery runs out. Also featured in the app are screen widget options that let you set your screen brightness manually right from your home screen.

All these battery saver apps for Android phones help you get the most out of your battery. If you own an HTC EVO, Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 or Galaxy S4, install one of these and see the difference.
