Nissan has finally unveiled one of their latest offering, the facelifted Nissan Qashqai with ProPilot technology at the ongoing 87th Geneva Motor Show. Car experts have recently revealed that the 2018 Nissan Qashqai model do have the ability to accelerate, decelerating and steering, itself when traveling in a single lane on highways. The company also proudly said that the updated Qashqai has the new looks, an updated cabin and improved ride and handling which will allegedly result in a more refined on-the-road experience.
The 2018 Nissan QASHQAI
According to reports revealed by Behind The Wheel, QASHQAI will come with a quieter cabin; which has all been made possible by the improved sound insulation. On the other hand, Nissan has also decided to put a new dashboard design, updated steering wheel and the latest generation of the NissanConnect infotainment system, which is found to be complete with digital radio. Nissan executives have explained that the new Nissan QASHQAI has been specifically built in the UK for global markets including Australia, which, in turn, was designed to better meet customer expectations.
Furthermore, in one of his statements, Chairman of Nissan Europe, Paul Willcox said that the new QASHQAI is allegedly a proof that the company is continuously setting new standards in the crossover segment. As per Indian Autos Blog, the new NissanConnect infotainment system with DAB digital radio and satellite navigation has also received a new user interface. That said, safety features will reportedly include an Intelligent Emergency Braking system which also features Pedestrian Recognition and the introduction of Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Other Features
Meanwhile, it was found that other available technologies are extended to traffic sign recognition, park assist, which also includes a surround view monitor, driver attention alert, blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning. Ultimately, Nissan claims that occupants will also be able to have a smoother driving experience which has been credited to suspension, damping and steering systems, as well as reduced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels due to thicker rear glass and added sound absorption materials.
