Several stars of "Hawaii Five-0" have been hinting their possible exit from the long-running CBS show. Scott Caan, who plays as Danny Williams, already hinted in the past two episodes about his plan to retire from being a detective. His desire to shift careers has worried fans that the character might depart the show for good.
Danny is as one of the lead roles in "Hawaii Five-0." Alex O'Loughlin, who plays as Steve McGarrett, also expressed his possible flee after, a theoretical, season 8 finishes. Fans might already start counting the days left for "Hawaii Five-0", as two of its lead stars seem to be hinting their future flee from the show.
The hints saddened millions of fans of the show. Executive Producer, Peter Lenkov, commented on Loughlin's interview saying he does not plan to create another season of "Hawaii Five-0" without McGarrett. The EP said he hopes that the actor changes his mind and agrees to work on the series for several more years as Lenkov said he does not yet see "Hawaii Five-0" coming to an end.
On the other hand, Danny has shared his plans of putting up his own restaurant during the "Handle it With Care" episode. When he went out of town to see his sister in New Jersey, during the "Exodus" episode, fans speculated that Danny will already announce his retirement, which may go down in episode 20 of "Hawaii Five-0."
These speculations though might have to linger among fans until the end of the month, as "Hawaii Five-0" is currently on a short hiatus. Meanwhile, "Hawaii Five-0" recently had a crossover with MacGyver" which was aired last Friday, March 10. Lenkov, who also happens to be the EP of the latter series, shared that the crossover has been in the works since last fall. The episode has gained positive reviews from fans of both series. They expressed that they were excited to see the stars sharing the same spotlight on CBS.
