Probability Of A McGregor Vs Mayweather Fight Pushes Through

The undefeated boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is currently in the mix of arranging a fight between him and the reigning UFC lightweight champion, Conor McGregor. A highly anticipated bout between the pair has moved a step closer to reality, as the 40-year-old Mayweather officially came out of retirement last week.

The Reason Why Mayweather Wants To Fight McGregor

According to Daily Star, many have attributed Mayweather's eagerness to fight McGregor for his own personal desire to surpass the great Rocky Marciano's undefeated record. However, according to UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, The reason why Mayweather wants to fight 'The Notorious' is because of financial difficulty.

Floyd Mayweather Got Scammed

Bisping said that the fight might happen, he is just not sure when. The UFC middleweight champion reported it on a recent episode of his podcast, "Believe You Me". "Will it happen in June? I really don't know, that might be a bit too soon, but from what I understand with the way things are shaping up, I was recently talking to someone in Las Vegas and heard that Floyd recently got scammed out of a lot of money," Bisping stated.

Bisping continued that Mayweather lost a big amount of money. He closed his statement by saying that he actually doesn't think Floyd badly needs the money, but he wants to compensate for the large amount of money that he lost when he got scammed.

Other Rumors About The Super Fight

Just last weekend, The Sun UK has reported that both McGregor and Mayweather had officially struck an agreement to fight one another in June this year. However, that notion was quickly dismissed by UFC president Dana White, who said that as of right now, there is still no target date whatsoever that has been agreed upon.
