Pokemon GO Update: Game Needs To Improve Before Adding More Creatures

Players and Pokémon Trainers are still waiting how Niantic will incorporate the three legendary birds in Pokémon GO. Rumor has it that the rarity of Unowns may come into play and behind this annoying difficulty lies a clever event in the future. However, according to Forbes, the Legendaries cannot come to Pokémon GO until Niantic makes certain changes. How soon players are really into seeing Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno?

Unown Rarity May Be Pokémon GO Future Event

According to a Reddit thread, there is a possible and clever explanation why Unowns are so rare, and difficult to catch in Pokémon GO. The Unown is currently the rarest Pokémon in Niantic's augmented reality game never mind the fact that there are currently 26 forms available. They are even rarer than Dragonite.

The thread explains that Niantic is reserving the Unown for a global event that might include the Legendary Pokémon. It is not without logic either since the appearance of Unowns may mean a Legendary Pokémon is nearby according to Pokémon lore. How this logic will come into play in the future even of Pokémon GO is still anyone's guess.

Pokémon GO Needs Big Changes Before The Legendaries Come

According to Forbes, there could be a problem with adding the Legendary Pokémon in the game, which is even reinforced by the fact that the Generation 2 of Pokémon was added without ever seeing one Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO. In the original game, players can take down NPCs with Legendary Pokémon but legendaries are sometimes not allowed in tournaments due to their power. However, in the current system of Pokémon GO, what with the gym relying on "heavy hitters," adding the legendaries in the game will wipe out any of its little diversity left.

So how can the legendaries be viable at this point? Well according to the article, they won't unless a couple of changes are made that the author suggested but admitted none of which are good. Suggestions like banning legendary Pokémon from holding gyms in Pokémon GO and introducing NPCs to fight with or reconstructing the entire gym system were raised. One thing's for sure, though, if Niantic ignores the challenge of incorporating the Legendary Pokémon in the game, Pokémon GO might lose its appeal to some players.
