For many enthusiasts, nothing gives more excitement than street racing. It is where ordinary drivers go out and test the latest and the best cars that are being offered. Two of those are the Nissan 370Z Nismo and the Subaru WRX STi. The Nissan 370Z goes up against the Subaru WRX STi for street racing supremacy.
For design, the Nissan 370Z Nismo has the edge as it has a new one compared to the Subaru WRX STi. The Subaru WRX STi has retained much of the design from 2015, with a few minor touches thrown in. For the Nissan 370Z though, some elements of it are outdated, such as its navigation system.
Another detraction to the Nissan 370Z is its rather firm ride. As a daily driver it can be a hard car to drive. When comfort is needed, the Nissan 370Z might be found lacking there. However, comfort isn't necessarily what comes to mind in such performance cars when performance is the one that matters.
What matters is what is under the hood for performance cars. For the Nissan 370Z Nismo, it has a naturally aspirated V6 engine which can crank out 350 hp. This is up from the standard Nissan 370Z which only has 332 hp, according to CNet.
The Subaru WRX STi would have some issues keeping up with the Nissan 370Z Nismo, as it has only 305 hp on a 250 liter engine, as Jalopnick reports. Still, that is more power than most can handle.
For price, the Nissan 370Z Nismo is about $41,990. The Subaru WRX STi could be a better alternative at $35,195. Even if a trunk spoiler is added, the Subaru WRX STi would still come about to only $39,995. Price could matter, though the performance edge of the Nissan 370Z Nismo could very well more than make up for its higher price as well.
For those who are looking for power and speed, the Nissan 370Z Nismo would be the choice over the Subaru WRX STi. Those who might want to have a car with enough power but not its cost might be happier with the Subaru WRX STi. The Nissan 370Z goes up against the Subaru WRX STi for street racing supremacy. Another street racing favorite is coming with the Honda Civic Type R for 2017.
