Tekken 7 DLC To Feature Two Guest Characters; Season Pass Plans Revealed

Way back December 2015, Tekken 7 Senior Game Designer Michael Murray discussed the possible guest characters, and he also emphasized that the series creator Katsuhiro Harada do not prefer it so much. This is because it disrupts the balance of the series' universe. It was also similarly clarified that there is a major chance of adding more guest characters into Tekken 7. It seemed as though the team was able to find two characters that could fit into the Tekken universe appropriately, just like how Akuma portrays it.

During the earlier part of today, Bandai Namco made a confirmation that Tekken 7 will be having two guest characters directly from other video games' licenses. The two characters will be launching on winter season, and it will also be released in Spring 2018, according to WCCF Tech.

The first batch will be released in summer of 2017, and it will give a brand-new game mode and additional 50 plus new costumes. The content, which is the second and third batches, are to be released in the winter of and in the spring of 2018. It will also feature an exclusive playable guest character that came from other video games' licenses that have a special stage and special costumes now and then meant for those guest characters.

The three post-launch content pieces can be purchased individually. However, they will also be made available by Season Pass, which will give 35 exclusive metallic costumes for each buyer. Tekken 7 will be launching on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 2. Unfortunately, the game will not be featuring any cross-platform play features because of its security policies.

Tekken 7 is a video game that is published and developed by Bandai Namco, which had a limited arcade release last March 2015 in Japan. The game had an updated arcade version called Tekken 7: Fated Retribution that was launched in July 2016.
