Another fashion brand has unveiled a new smartwatch model for this year. Guess, the popular name in the fashion industry has just recently updated its smartwatch line. The Guess Connect family has introduced two new Android Wear devices that come in different sizes. There's a 41 mm model designed for women and there's also a 44 mm model designed for men.
The women's smartwatch comes in multiple color options. This includes, gold, rose gold and silver. Additional information about the new smartwatches revealed that they are powered by a Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. This chipset is specifically designed for the Android Wear 2.0 OS. Nevertheless, these pretty much sums up the revealed details about the 2017 Guess Connect Android Wear. Apparently, the actual products won't be launched until later this year, so Guess itself isn't laying out all the specs details at this time.
Needless to say, there's good chance that the company will focus on style rather than on the smartwatches' technicalities. Android Central said that most of the people who plan to buy a Guess smartwatch most likely wouldn't care about the devices' RAM sizes. Guess has been known for its clothing products alongside its wide array of mechanical watches. With that said, Guess is expected to remain on the fashion side of the smartwatch industry rather than on the technology side.
The 2017 Guess Connect was unveiled at the Baselworld 2017 watch show. This new smartwatch lineup is actually a rework of Guess' first smartwatch effort that went with the same name. Needless to say, Guess skipped the specificities of the release. However, according to Tech Radar, the new Android Wear devices could show up between Fall to Winter of 2017. As for the price, it was said that Guess Connect could be at the pricier end of the smartwatch pricing spectrum. Do note as well that this isn't the only fashion brand to release a smartwatch. Tag Heuer, Movado, Fossil and more also have their own wearable series.
