The inarguably most popular anime of this generation already waved goodbye as "Naruto Shippuden" already ended. The longtime running anime already rendered its 500th episode which served as its closing story. The finale of "Naruto Shippuden" surely caused an emotional uproar among its fans, but they might not have to weep that long as "Boruto" will take the place that the anime hero has already left.
Masashi Kishimoto's "Naruto Shippuden" aired its episode 500 on March 23 and fans were initially excited to see how the greatest Hokage finishes his journey. The finale has however caused a downpour among fans which they shared as testimonies on different manga sites.
The most-awaited finale featured the wedding of Naruto, but before the ceremony started, several predicaments came to test the characters. Hinata was worried about not having everyone in her wedding as seen on episode 499, but Kakashi came up with a plan that allowed every Hidden Leaf shinobi to attend the reception of Naruto and Hinata.
The final episode started with Naruto visiting Iruka who still had problems with his congratulatory speech. Naruto then asks Iruka to stand as his father during the wedding which made the latter emotional as he looked back at how much the hero has grown up. Everyone then was able to record their congratulatory message for the couple with the help of Konohamaru. Sasuke also was able to send his message through a hawk that landed on Sakura's hands at the reception. Generally, the characters were at their happiest faces during the event.
The series then wrapped up with a glimpse of what to expect next in Naruto's life. However, the new series will already focus on the life of Naruto's son, Boruto. The spinoff, "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" will start airing on April 5.The rated "T" (Teens) print edition of the sequel's volume 1 will also be the release that day.
Another treat to ease the loneliness of "Naruto Shippuden's" fans is the upcoming "Boruto: Naruto The Movie" home video release. It was recently reported that VIZ Media picked up the movie and will have it available on Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and DVD on March 28, 2017. The film will follow the life of the rebellious son of Naruto who seeks to become an even greater ninja than his father.
