Samsung has officially started rolling the Android 7.0 Nougat update to users of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus starting with Turkey. The release will take place in phases with European users most likely to be the first ones to get the update. The dates are being proven accurate as the Galaxy S6 Edge+ has just joined the party with firmware version G928CXXU3CQC7. This appeared to be the same firmware version that was pushed to the region's Galaxy Note 5.
S6 Edge Plus users on unlocked models can be able to check whether their region has started receiving the update manually by going to Settings, then About Phone and next, System Updates. If it isn't yet available, users have to wait until it hits your region. Moreover, users of the devices in the US and Canada, tied to carrier plans of AT&T, Verizon and Sprint and Telus will also have to wait until their networks release the nougat update. The next Samsung handsets in line for the Android Nougat 7.0 update are the Galaxy A3 (2016) and Galaxy A8. On the other note, Google has already announced the next major version of its OS, which is currently known as Android O.
