The Splatoon 2 Lobby Lets Players Unleash Their Inner DJ

The Splatoon 2 lobby actually had a feature that lets players make their own music while they wait for a match. On the other hand, here are some of the best and worst things about the global testfire.

Splatoon 2 Global Testfire Impressions

Nintendo recently launched the global testfire for its third-person shooter game , which let players try the upcoming sequel. However, the event was extremely limited as fans could only play at certain times during specific dates. Nonetheless, it seemed to have been a success and garnered a good amount of positive responses from fans.

Bleeding Cool News reports that the overall gameplay was quite interesting despite only having three playable levels. Players could make the most out of the terrain by shooting at walls and even dying at the hands of environmental hazards if they were not careful. Moreover, there was a sense of balance, as players had to eliminate enemies and paint the area.

Make Some Music In The Lobby

Waiting, on the other hand, was quite frustrating, as players would sometimes be stuck in the lobby for a few minutes. Luckily enough, there was actually a small easter egg that let players make their own music, as per Polygon. The left analog stick adjusts the pitch of the lobby's background music while the left D-pad plays some funky beats.

Meanwhile, the right face buttons play some sort of vocal samples, which could be filtered using the right analog stick. This let players occupy their time by blasting their own beats while they wait for a match. Moreover, one netizen noted that Nintendo probably included this feature as they removed the original Squid Jump minigame found in the first title.

It is still unsure if the aforementioned video game will be making its way to the main game or not. With the global testfire coming to an end, it is possible that Nintendo will be announcing the release date soon. Splatoon 2 will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch later this summer.
