Nokia revealed the Windows Phone 8 (WP8)-powered Lumia 925 at an event on May 14 in London and announced that the handset will be available from the second week of June. But an Italian retailer NStore has already started taking pre-orders for the handset.
The official press release of Lumia 925 states "Nokia today introduced the Nokia Lumia 925, a new interpretation of its award-winning flagship, the Nokia Lumia 920. The Nokia Lumia 925 introduces a metal design and showcases the latest PureView camera innovation, new features and third party applications coming to the Nokia Lumia range."
Jo Harlow, executive vice president of Nokia Smart Devices said in the press release "We keep innovating. We're advancing experiences on the Nokia Lumia portfolio whether that means great new benefits for an existing Lumia owner, or bringing new showcase devices like the Nokia Lumia 925."
Rumors of a Lumia device with an aluminum body was flying in the smartphone space for quite some while and now the Lumia 925 comes packed in a metal design. Previous rumors also indicated that the aluminum body Lumia smartphone will head to U.S. carrier Verizon, but the Lumia 925 will head to T-Mobile and Verizon has received the non-metallic Lumia 928. Even though the Lumia 925 has an aluminum body, the rear of the handset remains a polycarbonate one.
If you want to buy the latest Lumia 925 then you can pre-order your handset on NStore and leave a €99.90 deposit for the phone. The actual price advertised is €599.90 and the handset will be available in black, grey or white color options. However, the €599.90 is not a final price and Nokia says that it may change.
If you are looking to buy the Lumia 925 then head to NStore to pre-order your handset.
