The highly-anticipated anime series "Attack on Titan" Season 2 might fail to impress its avid fans as reports claimed that the sequel will only feature 12 episodes in total. With no exact release date yet, here's what to expect in the upcoming installment.
12 Episodes In 4 Years?
When news came out that there will be a second installment of "Attack On Titan”, fans didn’t believe it the first time. There were numerous reasons why the fans thought that it was just a click bait but the authorities of the epic anime series have already spoken.
Apparently, the series will showcase producers opted to release 12 episodes only, a decision that most fans find disappointing.
When Hajime Isayama was interviewed, he stated that 12 episodes would be enough to cover season 2. Isayama thoroughly explained that the development of the characters already happened in season 1 and season 2 is just a continuation. Isayama also noted some of the fans suggestions but opted to share what was planned when season 1 ended.
Based on a couple of threads in Reddit, the fans shared their thoughts about having 12 episodes. Famed YouTuber such as Forneverworld is also not satisfied with how “Attack On Titan” Season 2 is heading. Fans have been waiting for four years and 12 episodes are not really enough for anybody. If the producers of the show are planning to regain the success that they had with their pilot season, the 12 episodes should be absolutely flawless or they will feel the wrath of those fans.
Release Date Not Yet Confirmed
On the other hand, the released date is not yet finalized. However, there are rumors that season 2 will probably debut this April. Hajime Isayama, Araki and Kozuka have been tight lipped about it and even in their latest interview, they seem to ignore those questions. Right now, fans are expecting that Season 2 will outshine the first series due to the longevity of its creation.
Hopefully, the producers of the show have some tricks on their sleeves. Japanese producers are known for making surprises and fans should be positive that the show is finally returning.
