Persona 5 will be getting a Japanese dub DLC that has already launched in certain PlayStation Network Store region. The size is roughly around 3GB with the audio having to be compressed.
Persona 5 Japanese Dub DLC Now Live
The highly anticipated Persona game is yet to officially launch overseas but Atlus is already preparing the various add-ons to the game. Redditor rpg recently shared a screenshot from the EU PSN which features that a set of DLC is already available for download. Aside from the dub, players can also get the Skill Card Set, Merciless Difficulty and the Healing Item Set.
The popular free Japanese audio track will have a download size of 2.9GB, which should take some time to download. In spite of this, those who prefer this option can start the download in preparation for the game. Strangely enough, the downloads are still not present in the North America Store but it should arrive quite soon.
Despite the seemingly large download size, it is actually small judging by how the file should contain all Japanese voices in the game. Redditor Allhelluja pointed out that the dub is actually compressed audio and that fans can tell the subtle difference. Unfortunately, it does not seem like the game will be getting an uncompressed copy as all the audio uses an ADX format.
Even More Content On The Way
These are not the only DLC that will be releasing as Atlus has planned more content to come in the near future, as per Polygon. Most of these come in the form of costumes that reference other Persona and Shin Megami Tensei games. Meanwhile, the other contents come as bonus Personas from previous installments.
Persona 5 will officially launch on April 4 while players can download the Japanese dub DLC on the EU store now. NA fans, on the other hand, will just have to wait for further information regarding when the audio track will arrive in their store.
