The Destiny 2 DLC might have been leaked due to a meme sent by Bungie to GameStop. It supposedly contains a full list of all the upcoming content for this coming and next year.
Destiny 2 DLC Leaked By GameStop Employee?
According to Mic, one employee from the said game store supposedly leaked some documents that came from Bungie. This item contains the broad DLC release schedule and offers some tidbits of information about the upcoming sequel as well. There will be an expansion pass that will reserve both Expansion I and II, which will be released Winter 2017 and Spring 2018 respectively.
Moreover, these expansions include new story missions, some coop activities, new gear and competitive multiplayer. While some may pass it off as fake, it is worth noting that Bungie has already confirmed some of the said details in the past. Moreover, it seems like it would be too much effort for anyone to simply create a professional document just to leak online.
Finer Details About The Upcoming Sequel
On the other hand, PCGamer shares that there is a release date of Sept. 8 of this year. Those who preorder the game will have access to a Beta and those who preorder at the aforementioned game store will get a limited edition Cayde-6 figurine. The sequel will carry over some character personalization for units that have reached level 20 and above. Similarly, veteran accounts will be awarded honors that reflect the ones they earned in the first game.
Unfortunately, Eververse-related items and currency from the predecessor will not be transferring over to the sequel. With this in mind, it seems like the upcoming Destiny game will be receiving a lot of support after its initial launch. Bungie nor GameStop has yet to comment on the Destiny 2 DLC so fans will just have to wait for more official information.
