Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Finally Lets Players Kill Cuccos But It's Dangerous

Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to do whatever they want by giving them the freedom to do so. In line with this, Link can now finally "kill" Cuccos but the journey to doing so is a dangerous one.

Kill Cuccos In Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The poultry in the Zelda series are notorious for fighting back and can even kill Link if he will not stop hitting them. Despite the numerous hacks and slashes, the hero can never really kill these chickens in previous games. However, BotW changes this and gives players the opportunity to end them.

One video from Dorkly shows two players attempting to throw a Cucco into the depths of Death Mountain, an active volcano found northeast of Hyrule castle. To begin with, players must need to catch a chicken roaming around Hyrule. They can easily find one near tables or even towns but fans must keep in mind the dangerous journey filled with monsters and guardians.

Climbing to the mountain on foot is no easy task and it is recommended getting Revali's Gale before attempting this. In the five-minute clip, Link faces against Bokoblins, some Yiga clan members, Keeses and even a Guardian. Once they reach the lava-filled pit, they can throw the chicken in and ultimately "drown" it. Keep in mind that it will not drop any poultry items and even if it does, Link would not be able to pick it up from the lava.

The Ultimate Secret Weapon Against Foes

For those who prefer using the chicken as a weapon, they can grab one and let themselves be hit by the enemy. Just like in previous titles, a swarm of Cuccos will attack the enemy and even kill them for attacking its winged friend, as per Eurogamer. Unfortunately, it does not seem like players will be able to use this method to kill Ganon as the cutscene will make it disappear.

Even so, players should not attempt to kill Cuccos in Zelda: Breath of the Wild as they can provide players with eggs. Not to mention that these flying friends can also be used as a substitute paraglider when jumping down from a cliff.
