Bugs are not new to Pokémon GO, as players have experienced these from time to time. Of course, it's not a good thing. After all, it destroys the very core of the gameplay, among others. Interestingly, players can use one for their own advantage. It allows them to earn a good number of experience points in an hourly basis.
According to Otakukart, a new Pokémon GO bug is making noise within the community, as it helps players gain lots of XP. This one here came following the recent update Niantic did to the game. Ironically, the said update was meant to fix some reported bugs and issues.
The aforementioned glitch basically lets players gain experience points, massively, once a single gym battle is completed. In its most organic form, a gym is only able to hold a total of 10 Pokémon at least. However, with this new bug, this figure dramatically increases the enemy cap. This isn't similar to a visual glitch or something, as it gives the exact amount of experience points displayed on the screen.
This Pokémon GO bug was discovered by players over Reddit, posting screenshots of their finished gym battles. A certain player, by the username of A1Ale, shared an image of him defeating a total of 92 pocket monsters. Obviously, this isn't right. Fortunately for him, he accumulated at least 13,000 XP. Again, it is not a visual glitch, as it provides the correct amount of experience points shown.
There's no certainty as to when this bug started, apart from the fact that it surfaced following the recent Pokémon GO update. Players on the aforementioned social media site suggest that it started soon after trainers attacked the same gym altogether. This resulted to the game being lagged for a minute or two. As of this writing, Niantic has yet to release a statement or fix.
In related Pokémon GO news, a new, exciting feature is expected to arrive to the game soon. Gadgets360 reports that the hit mobile game will be getting a co-op multiplayer system, which the studio describes as an "all new cooperative social gameplay." Details about this and other new features are still scarce, though.
