Google is reportedly planning to feature curved screens on its next flagships, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. In a recent report, Google is said to invest in LG's screen manufacturing business, LG Display Company, to the tune of $880 million in order to have access to a supply of flexible OLED screens. A curved screen would make the Pixel 2 match up with Samsung's remarkable new Galaxy S8, which has an edge-to-edge Infinity display.

The Google Pixel 2 will be the next flagship smartphone that will have pretty much all the high-end specs available. Reports suggest that there'll be a Snapdragon 835 chip the same processor that'll likely power the Samsung Galaxy S8. If Google goes for the Snapdragon 835, that means the Pixel 2 will also be capable of Quick Charging 4.0. More so, reports have also claimed that the Pixel 2's camera is set for a major upgrade, with Google reportedly looking at a sensor that will allow the device to excel at low-light photography.
The Google Pixel 2 device is reported to be the first smartphone to run Google's new Android 8.0 Oreo, which is widely rumored to be the new version of the company's mobile software. In addition, the Pixel 2 will come waterproof for the first time. Furthermore, The Google Pixel 2 as well the rumored bigger sibling Pixel XL 2 will have the ability to work with Google Daydream. These flagship devices will likely be appearing in October of this year.
