New Link Amiibo Reveals Fierce Deity Armor Secrets In Zelda Breath Of The Wild

Nintendo recently revealed three new Zelda amiibo figures during one of the company's Direct live-streams. The new amiibo are Majora's Mask Link, Twilight Princess Link and Skyward Sword. All of which will be available from stores starting June 23. People will now be able to get the Fierce Deity Armor in Zelda: Breath of the Wild without the use of NFC or power tags.

Zelda : Breath Of The Wild Fierce Deity Armor

Nintendo Amiibo figures are used in Zelda: Breath of the Wild to unlock new armor or free items. This is the only way some of Link's classic green tunic like the Twilight set or Time set, can be unlocked in the Nintendo Switch's launch title Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both Twilight and Time set came from two of Zelda's most esteemed games, The Legend of Zelda The Twilight Princess and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, However, some data miners were able to uncover the Fierce Deity set upon release of Breath of the Wild.

The Fierce Deity set had been surrounded by mystery as to why there was no way to get the armor set other than through hacking the game. Well, it seemed Nintendo did plan to release an amiibo for the set and it's the Majora's Mask amiibo. According to The Verge, Nintendo shipped Zelda: Breath of the Wild with the armor set and double helix weapon but delayed the amiibo release.

The Legend Of Zelda : Majora's Mask Fierce Deity Link

The Fierce Deity set in Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a creepy looking armor that gives Link white eyes devoid of pupils and tattoos all-over his face. In Majora's Mask, this is a secret form Link can use to turn into a powerful godlike creature wielding the famous double-helix sword. There are many theories surrounding the Fierce Deity form of Link, even in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask as to why the form exists and whether he's the force of evil in the game and Majora is the good guy. Either way, this is an awesome new addition to anyone's playthrough without people going out of their way to spoof amiibo.
