The second day of NBA Playoffs began with an exciting matchup between the number 1 seed Golden State Warriors against the offensive juggernaut, Portland Trail Blazers. The game started competitive until Draymond Green showed the way and clamp down the Blazers offense in the fourth quarter.
Portland’s Explosive Backcourt Giving Warriors A problem
The Portland Trail Blazers have a tough task ahead as they are going against the best team in the league right now. A lot of NBA Analyst have made their predictions and it seems that Golden State Warriors will prevail in this series. However, it is easier said than done as the explosive backcourt of the Trail Blazers exploded with 75 points combined. Golden State Warriors might have the splash brothers but it was evident that the Trail Blazers duo is giving them a problem.
Draymond Green Makes A Statement
The only problem is, the Blazers couldn’t keep up the momentum as the Warriors dismantled their offense in the fourth quarter. The defensive player of the year candidate Draymond Green showed up big time as he anchored the defense of the Warriors. Green had two emphatic blocks and a steal that provided a 9 point outburst from his team. Also, Green was the catalyst for their offense. It might not show on the stat sheet but when he is around, the Portland Trail Blazers have a hard time switching due to his versatility.
Kevin Durant’s First Playoff Game As A Member Of Golden State
Kevin Durant had 32 points to go with his 10 rebounds as his first playoff game as a member of the Golden State Warriors is in the books. On the other hand, Steph Curry has 29 points but committed 5 turnovers which are uncanny for the 2x MVP. Also, the head coach of Golden State Warriors Steve Kerr stated that there will be a major adjustment on their defensive play as their team cannot let Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum score that easily.
