New leaks have surfaced around Rainbow Six Siege, which reveals possible new gadgets and skins for the various operators. Meanwhile, it seems like console players will not be banned for using a keyboard and mouse setting.
Rainbow Six Siege Gets New Leaks
According to PVP Live, there has been yet another datamine filled with new information that may make its way to the game soon. Aside from the two new HongKong operators, this new batch of information focuses on some of the elite skins and gadgets the game might get.
To begin with, one new gadget might be a Taser, which is a fairly straightforward weapon. This type of item is quite situational and often labeled as gimmicky rather than a must-pick. Meanwhile, the datamine has a new item called a Patcher Launcher, which is an obscure name for a possible weapon. Meanwhile, the Concussion Mine makes another appearance in this datamine as it was part of the previous one alongside the Toxic Mine. Moreover, it is worth noting that these two weapons are tied to Caltrop -- rumored to be one of the upcoming Operators.
There is also the addition of the Flash Mine that might work similarly like its other two counterparts. Judging by the name, it might have the ability to blind players who step on it. There is also the Dazzler Grenade, which might be the new operator's weapon as they share the same name. This non-lethal weapon disorients targets with radiation and used like a laser pointer.
That aside, a file name called Tactical Albatross also appeared in the datamine, which might refer to the aircraft vehicle made by the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST). For skins, there is the TavernierBleu headgear for Doc, KTnomad outfit for Smoke, Nicotine headgear for Smoke and the Wilhelm headgear for Blitz. Finally, there were also files for meme charms so players should expect more silly accessories for their weapons.
Addressing Console Players Who Use The Keyboard And Mouse
That aside, SegmentNext reports that the developer addressed the ongoing issue of those who use the keyboard and mouse on consoles. On the official forum, he claimed that there is nothing that can be done aside from disabling native support for peripherals. Other similar shooters like Overwatch have also been undergoing the same issue with the developers unable to directly fix the problem.
For now, fans will just have to continue playing normally unless Activision manages to find a way to properly "fix" the issue. On the other hand, players will also have to wait for further information regarding the new leaks that might make its way to Rainbow Six Siege soon.
