Photos of Apple's beautiful white ceramic iPhone 8 model surfaced online earlier this week. Although it was an alleged “dummy” concept, we can't help thinking if this would be the anniversary handset. Perhaps the tech giant is just giving us the best look yet of the company's next-gen iPhone.
The concept video was put together by folks over at ConceptsiPhone, which provide fans with a gorgeous three-dimensional view of Apple’s 2017 flagship iPhone. It's important to note that previous videos of iPhone models have more or less stuck with Apple's roadmap this year. However, in this latest video, there are some aspects that don’t exactly align with the rumors we’ve seen floating around recently.
For example, a white ceramic iPhone 8 isn’t likely to be on Apple’s design direction this year. Additionally, the video depicts an iPhone with speakers on every corner of the device, which is another design that will likely never happen. Finally, the horizontal position of the camera module in the video is seemingly at odds with a plethora of schematic leaks we’ve seen the previous weeks.
Nonetheless, the release of the upcoming flagship is still months away, and it's fun to look at possible designs that people over the concept department cooks up. According to BGR, the concept videos have all been very intriguing, opening up possibilities of designs that we may behold in the future. Even though some of the designs may not be on the horizon of the iPhone 8, it's still good to know about these forward-thinking designs.
While Apple may not actually be serious about producing the white ceramic iPhone 8, the beauty of the device is undeniable. According to Mashable, at this point, nothing is certain on what final design the upcoming handset will settle on. One thing we hope the video gets right, though, is the Touch ID sensor which is embedded in the display itself.
