The latest episode of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” featured the hilarious yet action-packed battle of the genders. The said episode also highlighted the summoning Jutsu and the appearance of another main character that will complete Boruto and Sarada’s predestined three-man team.
Boruto Cloaked In His Father’s Name, Follows Sasuke’s Footsteps
It has already been established that “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” will focus on Boruto and the rest of the new generation of ninjas in the Hidden Leaf Village. Despite Naruto's achievements, Boruto avoids being lumped along with his father. In the anime’s latest episode, more of Sasuke’s teachings and Boruto’s inherited skills have been brought to light when he was able to carry out a delicate animal summoning Jutsu.
It wasn’t an ordinary summoning though as two animal figures emerged along with the mysterious black chakra that has been plaguing the students of the Ninja Academy. Fans are pointing out that Boruto might have summoned a nue, which is a legendary Japanese monster that has a head of a beast and the front end of the snake for a tail. This summon might have hinted that the story is leaning towards Boruto becoming the successor of Orochimaru and Sasuke’s roles in the anime series. However, with Mitsuki’s appearance, there might be another side to the story.
Orochimaru’s Son, Mitsuki Finally Makes His Appearance
One of the highly awaited new characters in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” is finally making his grand entrance in the next episode. Mitsuki made his debut in the “Naruto” manga, specifically in the volume focusing on Sarada Uchiha. He also appeared in “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” and he was introduced as Orochimaru’s second son. Despite appearing a bit late to the new anime series, the “Naruto Shippuden” spinoff has already established that Mitsuki will eventually team up with Boruto and Sarada to go on their ninja missions.
Their team-up continues the legacy of the Legendary Three Ninja who passed down their skills to Kakashi’s original Team 7 composed of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, which are also Boruto and Sarada’s parents. Mitsuki’s power has yet to be explored in the series but given that he is Orochimaru’s son, some fans have speculated that the snake that Boruto managed to summon recently was actually his doing and that Boruto was only able to summon the mysterious dark beast. With Mitsuki finally in the picture, the series might finally move forward with the story.
