Surface Pro 5, Surface Book 2 And Surface Phone Might Be Revealed On May 2

One thing is for sure, Microsoft is going to introduce new and various hardware, as well as software, on May 2. In fact, the company already sent out press invites for the upcoming event that will take place in New York City. Microsoft spokesperson said that the firm seems to unveil the rumored Surface Pro 5, Surface Book 2 and Surface Phone.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5

Microsoft recently revealed its latest fiscal results and when it comes to Surface hybrids, the figures sting. This means it has slumped considerably in the market compared to recent times. In fact, Microsoft's revenue last quarter from Surface devices dropped by 26 percent year-on-year. According to Deccan Chronicle, releasing the Surface Pro 5 will help Microsoft to gain the lost revenue.

As of now, the tech world is anxiously waiting for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Although the software giant has not yet verified any of the rumored specs, features and price of the hybrid device, its release date is said to be tomorrow. However, some reports said Microsoft is still focusing on its Surface Phone to rival with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Therefore, if it will not be seen at the May 2 event, the 2-in-1 laptop-tablet hybrid will be unveiled sometime in the spring of this year.

Microsoft Surface Book 2

There is a big possibility that Microsoft will use the event to introduce the new Windows 10 Cloud, which will be the rival of Google's Chrome OS. This new operating system may help the firm to control a new generation of low-cost laptop computers that will completely take against the Chromebooks. It isn't clear yet if Microsoft will introduce the Surface Book 2 tomorrow since its details are not yet final, according to TechRadar.

Microsoft New Surface Phone

It sounds like the rumored Microsoft's new Surface Phone is not in the list of gadgets that will be unveiled at the May 2 event. The latest rumor claims that Microsoft is said to be running double time for its Surface Phone in order to take on the newly released Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. However, since iPhone 8 is said to be delayed, Microsoft's plans twisted and will not release a smartphone anytime soon.
