Amazon offering Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for only $79.99

Amazon is offering a great deal on the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and it's a great savings over the price Verizon is currently charging for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 online and in its retail stores of $199 when signing a new 2-year contract. This also is the lowest price Amazon has offered the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for.

When you hear the word phablet there's a good chance that the first thing you'll think of is Samsung's Galaxy Note phablet. There's a reason why. Samsung knew that more and more consumers were purchasing a smartphone and a tablet, so it decided to try combining the two when it created the original Galaxy Note. It wanted to give consumers a device that converged a smartphone and tablet, hence the phablet name. The Galaxy Note line has been a huge success for Samsung.

If you're thinking about trying out a phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is still the best. Samsung has also confirmed that it will be releasing an OTA (over the air) update for the Galaxy Note 2 that will bring some of the popular features from the Galaxy S4 to the Galaxy Note 2. We just told you about the leaked Galaxy S3 firmware that includes this update, so Galaxy Note 2 owners shouldn't have a long wait.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 features a 5.5-inch 267 ppi (pixels per inch) 1280 x 720 HD Super AMOLED Plus display, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (upgradable out of the box to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean), 1.6 GHz Samsung Exynos Quad-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and HD recording, 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, Enhanced S Pen, 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC (near field communications), built-in mobile hotspot functionality, GPS, microSD card slot with support for up to 64GB cards and a 3,100 mAh battery.

Amazon is offering the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in Titanium for $79.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. Amazon is also throwing in free two day shipping.
