Pokémon GO will be focusing on grass monsters in its upcoming Worldwide Bloom event. Meanwhile, Niantic has teamed up to deliver the very first community-oriented activity.
Worldwide Bloom Event Happening Soon
Events are always a great way to attract players back to a game and Niantic is at it again with increased grass Pokémon spawns this time around. Express shares that the next event, Worldwide Bloom, will take place this weekend and will only last for a short while, Those who want to add more grass types to their roster should make the most out of this occasion.
Niantic announced that the event will officially begin on May 5 and will last until May 8. Aside from the increased spawns, the developers have yet to confirm any bonus content as of now. However, they might decide to share new details about this activity before the event officially begins. With this in mind, fans should be on the lookout for a possible new shiny Pokémon, similar to that of Magikarp during the Water Festival.
Pokémon GO's First Community Event
That aside, Niantic has also partnered up with the Knight Foundation, an organization that promotes civic engagement, for the first community event, as per Polygon. This certain activity will spawn in various cities across the country with the first event happening in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 7. There, players will have to explore their cities to search for PokeStops marked along a set route. Here, fans will get to learn more about their city while hunting for new monsters along the way.
Those who participate in the occasion will be given free stickers from Niantic itself. However, it is yet to reveal the finer details about the actual turnout. The North Carolina event is basically an experiment that may or may not set the tone for future events.
