"Code Geass" ceases to be on hiatus as the mecha-themed anime is reportedly coming back next year. The show will likewise resurrect Lelouch vi Britannia whom fans of the hit anime thought already met his demise in Season 2. Following the show's revival, two of the English dub actors of "Code Geass" shared their thoughts about doing another season, but the voice behind Lelouch thinks the show is doing it all just for the money.
The revival of "Code Geass" has been a talk around anime forums for quite a long time now as the third season of the Japanese show has been teased since last year. A trailer for the new installment already came out last April and fans might have been delighted to see Lelouch vi Britannia alive.
However, the release date of "Code Geass" Season 3 remains to be kept under the wraps, but avid fans of the anime predict that it might come out in Spring next year. Fans may want to refresh their memories about Lelouch's life though as the first two seasons of the hit anime is being re-aired until the end of 2017.
For other details, "Code Geass" Season 3 is reportedly coming in 2D animation, contrary to its side installment released in 2012 which was delivered in 3D. Such judgment from the anime's creators reportedly hurt the cartoon series as anime fans are used to seeing the characters in 2D. The rendering then led to the show's early cancellation, with only five episodes aired on t.v.
Spoilers and predictions for the upcoming season of "Code Geass" claim that the arc will pick up from events after the "Zero Requiem" event. Lelouch will make his epic comeback whereas his supposed death was featured in "Lelouch of the Rebellion R2" back in 2008.
Following the revival of the anime, English dub voice actors Yuri Lowenthal and Johnny Young Bosh who played as Suzaku and Lelouch, respectively, gave their opinion on the upcoming season. Lowenthal, who also voiced Sasuka in "Naruto," expressed his desire to go back to speaking on behalf of Suzaku. He cannot confirm though his involvement in "Code Greass" Season 3 as the installment has not yet been ordered for an English dub.
Meanwhile, Johnny Young Bosch is seemingly not as enthusiastic as Lowenthal with the statements he dropped in the previously held Anime Triad Con. He was asked about his take on the new season where Bosch relayed how "Code Geass" made a lot of money from its original run and even after it went on a long break. He also questioned why the show was revived and went on to tease that the franchise owner might be doing the show for the big profit. He has however said that he hopes for "Code Geass" Season 3 to be great but is not confident that it will be.
