Bioware Working On New ‘Dragon Age’ Game; Sunless Sea Creator Involved

Recent developments seem to indicate that BioWare is hatching up a new game. It appears that this new video game will be based on a previous title, Dragon Age. This can be deduced from the recent statements given in an interview by a supposed guest writer of the new game.

The Story Is Now Being Developed

Apparently, Alexis Kennedy, the guest writer for the new Dragon Age game, will take part in its story development. He is a co-founder of Failbetter Games, the game developer of Sunless Sea. Kennedy quit his post at Failbetter to become a freelance writer of video games. It seems BioWare has hired him for this new project.

Kennedy is currently based in the U.K. and is actually doing his work remotely for the Canadian-based BioWare. It is believed that he is the only one given this working privilege in the company. He is also the only guest writer for the new Dragon Age game to be hired by the game developer.

The Story Is Something That Was Not Addressed Before

Commenting on his unique position in BioWare, Kennedy said the company had given him considerable autonomy in his work. He added that the storyline bit of lore he is writing is pretty much separated from the other parts of the video game. However, he qualified his statements by saying that this new story is just unique and not really that grandiose. It's something that's not been addressed in Dragon Age.

There Is No Release Date And Title Yet

To date, three Dragon Age games have been developed and marketed. The original video game was released in 2009 titled Dragon Age: Origins. After that, BioWare launched its sequel titled Dragon Age 2 in 2011. The third sequel released in 2014 was titled Dragon Age: Inquisition.

It is uncertain if there is already a title for the new Dragon Age game. BioWare has not released any information about this yet. The game developer has not released any details about its release date as well.
