'Grand Theft Auto V' Details June 'Gunrunning' Update For 'GTA Online'

Rockstar Games continues to provide post-launch support for Grand Theft Auto V with another update scheduled for June. The new update is reportedly called Gunrunning and is expected to add a weapons trafficking feature to Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA Online). The new patch will apparently focus on the illegal arms trade in San Andreas' south and features underground bases as well.

Gamers can purchase these underground bases through the in-game Maze Bank Foreclosures page. These properties are apparently located in Blaine County and will be marked with hatches on the surface. According to Polygon, Grand Theft Auto V's Gunrunning update for GTA Online will allow players to manufacture weapons as well as military vehicles. These subterranean shops will also showcase gun ranges to try out new weapons.

Another new feature included in the Gunrunning update is weaponized vehicle customization, which GTA Online players can customize while on-the-go via a Mobile Operation Center. The June Grand Theft Auto V patch will also bring along an armored personnel carrier (APC). Moreover, the APC is reportedly amphibious, which makes it the all-terrain vehicle of choice. Gamers can also add armored panels and install guns on different vehicles to create.

It seems RockStar Games continues to put a lot of effort to enhance Grand Theft Auto V's endgame experience. Gamesradar+ points out that GTA Online allows gamers to become the criminal that they always wanted to be. Players can live out their fantasies with different roles that are hardly within the law. The June Gunrunning update finally lets anyone become an underground weapons dealer that can retrofit any vehicle in a Mad Max-inspired machine of death.

The Gunrunning update for GTA Online announcement follows in the wake of Take-Two Interactive's announcement that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed to 2018. However, it seems the new Grand Theft Auto V patch will keep players occupied as the developer continues to polish its open-world Western sequel to perfection.
