It seems Red Barrels is again teasing the fans of Outlast 2. The game developer has recently posted cryptic photos on its Twitter page. Some gamers believe that the developer is hinting at an upcoming DLC for the video game. If this is true, fans can look forward to changes or updates that may improve its gameplay.
Photos Of The Temple Gate Community?
Here are some of the photos that Red Barrels has recently posted on its Twitter page. Apparently, these photos supposedly feature some scenes at the Temple Gate community but are not part of the current gameplay of Outlast 2. If that's the case, why is Red Barrels posting them on its social media site?
These Are Really Spooky Photos
That gives credence to the speculations that these could be a part of an upcoming DLC. Incidentally, these cryptic photos purportedly of Outlast 2 are really creepy even if the artist masterfully created these. One of the spooky photos features a man in some sort of a dark dungeon holding a machete in his right hand.
Photos Seem To Indicate That There's An Upcoming DLC
To give more validity to the rumors, Red Barrel's tweets link more cryptic photos in The Murkoiff Report, another website. There are lots of creepy pictures and several audio contents presumably related to Outlast 2 posted on this site. However, it seems all of these contents are not part of the current gameplay of the video game.
One of the creepy photos at this site is a page from some sort of a bible used by the Testament of the New Ezekiel doomsday cult in Outlast 2. The image is about a certain page titled Knoth 7:5, similar to how verses in the Christian Bible are described. In this page, someone has encircled the word "flesh into my mouth." Really creepy!
So, what could this mean if it's not related to an upcoming Outlast 2 DLC? Admittedly, these are all speculations, but speculations that are based on seemingly solid, although still unverifiable, facts. Fans will have to wait for more teasers from Red Barrels if they want some clarity to what the game developer has recently shared.
