'Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Finale Set To Be Show's Longest Episode; Starks Photo Op Hints At Major Character’s Death?

It has been revealed that the last episode of “Game of Thrones” will be the longest episode ever produced for the show. Meanwhile, the latest photo op featuring the Stark children sparked speculations of an upcoming major character’s death.

HBO Supersizes ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Episodes

June has finally crept in and fans are getting more excited as the premiere date of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 approaches. The new season will make its debut on July 16 and unlike the first six seasons, it will have fewer episodes. However, even with just seven episodes, it has been revealed that HBO will make up for it with longer ones.

Entertainment Weekly has revealed that the first episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 will be 58 minutes long, making it the longest first episode of a season since the show’s original pilot episode, which ran for 62 minutes. In addition, the season finale will run for more than an hour, marking it to be the show’s longest episode to be aired. The length of the episodes were hinted beforehand when the cast revealed that they have been getting more screen time and more lines.

Starks Family Picture Teases Little Finger’s Death?

Just recently, the cast that portrays what remains of the Stark family, has posed for Entertainment Weekly. Kit Harrington, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, and Isaac Hempstead Wright, who play the roles of Jon Snow, Sansa, Arya, and Bran respectively, looked stunning in the family photoshoot, clad in their latest signature winter attire. However, that was not what really caught the attention of fans.

In the Starks photo op, Arya poses strategically to reveal a familiar dagger, hinting that Little Finger’s probable demise. The said dagger is reportedly similar to the one that Little Finger, also known as Lord Petyr Baelish, has been carrying around in the series, even bragging about it once that it was the only one of its kind in the whole seven kingdoms. This tiny detail, which could be easily missed, sparked speculations among fans that Arya ends up killing Little Finger to avenge her family.
