'Pokemon GO' Update: Niantic Working On More Features?

Recently, Niantic has been teasing fans about the new things coming to Pokemon GO. Now, the company has once again hinted at more features coming to the hit mobile game. Here is everything about it in a nutshell.

According to ComicBook, the studio's very own Chief Marketing Officer named Mike Quigley revealed that new features are coming to Pokemon GO soon. He reportedly revealed it during The Next Web conference (video embedded below), which took place in Netherlands. He even went to discuss the future of the titular augmented reality game.

The most interesting thing Quigley discussed is the forthcoming arrival of a new feature. It is said to help in making the overall thrill of catching pocket monsters a more collaborative experience for the fans. Currently, the game allows the capturing of creatures for single players only. With this feature, however, it will incentivize catching species along with other players. This can be likened to defeating a gym, only that players will work together with other trainers.

Of course, this means a lot, especially with the supposed arrival of Legendary pocket monsters in Pokemon GO. Quigley might be referencing to a group catching function specifically developed for these special creatures. This is definitely an interesting thing for players to look forward to.

In related news, Express reports that cell tech company Sprint has posted a series of brand new "Scavenger Hunts" in which Pokemon GO players can join at selected local stores. It is worth noting, though, that the "Sprint and Boost Mobile Trainer Rewards" is only made available in the United States. Add to this the fact that these are spread on areas such as New York, Brighton Colorado and Woodland California.

Apparently, though, the rewards in Pokemon GO are not entirely connected to the in-game bonuses. They are somewhat related to a gift card promotion of sort. Moreover, players will be given 200 trainer rewards points as part of this gig from Sprint.
