A New Lenovo ThinkPad Is On Its Way
It has been 25 years since Lenovo launched its first ThinkPad 700C business laptop. According to CNET, it was a little large and underpowered compared to the laptops that are existing today. However, back then, it was one of the most popular machines that helped leaders in the age of the laptop market.
In the official blog post of the company, Lenovo chief design officer David Hill writes "At this point, it seems like the cat's out of the bag." It's already confirmed that Lenovo will be making a special edition of the ThinkPad Laptop as part of its 25th-anniversary celebration. "It's aimed at enthusiasts and superfans that were kind enough to share their thoughts about what the laptop might be," Hill added.
Possible Features Of The New Lenovo ThinkPad
According to BGR, the Lenovo ThinkPad will definitely sport interesting features more than its original version. These include stylus and voice assistant supports, which are already available on Microsoft Windows laptops. Recently, Qualcomm announced that the company is partnering with Microsoft to build laptops that will be powered by the same ARM-based platform located inside high-end smartphones. Therefore, the upcoming ThinkPad from Lenovo is also possible to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC with LTE support.
Another interesting feature of the new generation Lenovo ThinkPad is its flexible display, as well as its really advanced materials. As of now, the availability and specs of the new special edition ThinkPad are not yet officially exposed. However, Hill claims that "It has a wonderful black rubberized coating, three TrackPoint caps, and a keyboard to die for." Probably, it will arrive by the end of this year with a price that is lower than $5,000.
