Xiaomi recently introduced the Mi Max 2 late last month, and the smartphone was announced in just one color variant which is gold. The company has now announced a new Matte Black variant of the smartphone and has been launched just in Hong Kong with same specifications as the Gold variant of the handset.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2: Design, Specs, And Features
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 continues the legacy of the Xiaomi Mi Max which focuses on the battery. It sports a 6.44-inch full HD (1080p) display wrapped by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and powered by a Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset with Adreno 506 GPU. It offers two internal storage variants, 64GB and 128GB and backed up with 4 GB RAM. The new Matte Black variant is only available in the 64GB variant.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 sports a Sony 12-megapixel rear shooter with a dual LED flash and a f/2.2 aperture. It comes with a 5-megapixel camera and a f/2.0 aperture. Keeping the power on is a 5,300mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 for faster charging. On the connectivity front, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port.
The dual-SIM device also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, right below the camera and also with USB Type-C port on the bottom with speaker holes, a headphone jack and an infrared port on the top, according to Droid Report. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also features an IR blaster, which the company claims as a universal remote for air conditions and televisions.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system which will be protected under MIUI 8, according to Gizbot. More so, reports claim the device promises to offer two days of battery life and provides 68% charge in just 1 hour.
