The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact has been spotted in the leaked renders which are based off CAD designs of the smartphone. The renders give a pretty clear idea of what Sony has in-store for the upcoming device. The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact is said to be launched along with Sony Xperia XZ1 at IFA this month.
According to the latest renders, the smartphone will be having a design similar to the Xperia XZ1 except that it will be quite smaller. The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact sports an all-metal unibody design with the front camera, earpiece, and other sensors resting at their usual positions, which is just above the display like the general Sony smartphone design.
Beneath the display of Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, there lies a cutout for the front-facing speaker. The fingerprint scanner can be seen integrated into the power button on the right side located just below the volume rocker. There's also a devoted shutter button located towards the bottom of the right side, The Android Soul reported.
The renders reveal a USB Type-C port and a microphone resting at the bottom of the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top of the device. On flipping the device backward, the rear camera along with LED flash placed adjacent to it can be seen.
In terms of specs, the Xperia XZ1 Compact is said to feature a 4.6-inch HD display at the front. Apparently, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM.
According to GSM Arena, the XZ1 Compact will come with 129.5 x 64.5 x 9.4 mm of dimension. The device is said to come running on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat right away and is believed to draw fuel from a 2,600mAh of the battery.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact is tipped to launch alongside the Xperia XZ1 on August 31st. This rumored date is just before IFA 2017 in Berlin slated to start on September 1.
