Xbox One hands-on session on June 10: Will you be there?

Microsoft recently revealed the one of the most-wanted gaming consoles, the Xbox One, which the company expects to release within this year. An official release date for the gaming console is not known but if you want to try out the Xbox One before it hits the shelves and lay hands on the controller, then mark your calendar for June 10.

Microsoft is holding a hands-on session on Monday, June 10 to show off the latest Xbox One and let gamers have a feel of the gaming console's new features.

Larry Hyrb, the Director of Programming for the Microsoft gaming network Xbox Live, wrote on his blog, Major Nelson "If you are in the Southern California area, we've got a special Xbox Community meet up scheduled for Monday, June 10th at the Microsoft Store in Century City. Join me and members of the Xbox team as we show off Xbox One to the public for the first time. Plus we'll also have hands-on time with the new Xbox One controller."

The Microsoft event is scheduled at Microsoft Store, Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

The blog also reports, "Come meet members of the Xbox team and see the Xbox One with your own eyes, plus take the Xbox One controller for a spin and see (and feel) for yourself the improvements we've made to one of the best controllers in gaming."

A previous report cites technology blogger Paul Thurott who predicts that the Xbox will have two different prices. Thurott says that the company will launch one standalone model that will cost $499 while another model will have a price tag of $299 with a two-year Xbox Live Gold subscription for $15 a month. However, Microsoft has not made an official announcement regarding the actual price of the console.

With June 10 just round the corner, let's hope Microsoft will let us know more about the actual release date and the pricing of the next-gen Xbox One.

If you are in Los Angeles, will you be attending the Xbox One hands-on session?
