Google is decorating their main page to match the holiday season, featuring an interactive 3D-puzzle game! Be warned that this game will only be available for Valentine's Day.
Many fans familiar with Google probably know that the search engine redesigns itself during special holidays. Sometimes, Google will post clip arts via stylistic designs on their lettering. Other times, Google adds an interactive mini-game that can be pretty fun.
A Google Mini-Game: Happy Valentine's Day
According to Gadgets 360, Google is celebrating the current Valentine's season with a 3D doodle that features two hamsters who are in love. Players need to solve a tunnel puzzle so the hamsters can be reunited with one another. Note that it should only take about 30 seconds to finish the puzzle.
According to Business Today, Google made this puzzle because "love takes you by surprise. It can be full of twists and turns, but through all its ups and downs, it can still bring the world closer together (no matter the species). Just look at the two smitten hamsters featured in today's interactive 3D doodle."
The game description ends with a challenge for players to "piece their path together and clear the way for them to scamper into each other's precious paws. As they say, home is where the heart is."
How to Play Google Valentines Game
To play the game, simply head to Google.com and click on the center photo of two hamsters sitting in a big heart. This should automatically prompt the game to activate.
The game starts with one hamster offering a flower. Unfortunately, their partner could not hold back a sneeze and ended up separating them.
After the cutscene, players can now see the "Google" 3D puzzle with four unique controllers. Players have to manipulate all controls to complete the puzzle.
First, players should drag down the lever so the first green piece will be connected to the letter "O" in Google. Next, players have to rotate the pipe by using the "X" shaped lever. This can be turned in either direction, so turn it until the pipe turns purple.
Afterward, click on the slider to shift the pipe near the heart to the proper direction. Be warned not to drag the pipe too far, and wait for the pipe to turn pink instead.
Lastly, players should follow the knob's direction to drag down the final pipe piece. Completing all of these steps properly should prompt the control table to flip and feature a blinking heart. Click on the heart to reunite the lovers.
Google will officially greet "Happy Valentine's Day" to players who complete the challenge. Be warned that they still hid yet another feature on the end. Players who click the heart icon on the control table will prompt the game to throw a bunch of heart confetti.
Players who want to try this game are recommended to do so now. As previously mentioned, this unique game will only be available until Valentine's Day.
