Apple delivered a great lineup of new products at its "Peek Performance" event, including the Mac Studio and the Studio Display, a combo of a high-performance desktop system and a crystal-clear monitor perfect for creative professionals.

The price tag may be a bit steep at first but knowing the specs and features of this desktop-display combo may be enough to push fans to save up for the March 18 release.

Mac Studio: Size of a mini but With Max Power

The first new Mac model in recent memory joins Apple's desktop lineup consisting of the iMac, the Mac mini, and the Mac Pro. The Mac Studio fits in between the mini and the Pro in terms of power.

It looks like a the Mac mini at first glance but is actually a little taller, with a height of just 3.7 inches and with 7.7 inches of square footage. But unlike the Mac mini, this supercharged Apple desktop system has an unprecedented performance capability.

The Mac Studio is by default equipped with the M1 Max chip whereas the Mac mini is only capable of housing an M1 chip. To make things more exciting, the Studio is capable of an upgrade to the M1 Ultra, also a new product introduced in "Peek Performance."

The M1 Ultra offers an unreal upgrade in performance that will make photo and video artists drool. A recent leak surfaced just 4 hours after "Peek Peformance" ended. It showed that the M1 Ultra can be up to 105% times faster than the M1 Max. This leak was confirmed to be authentic to AppleInsider by an undisclosed Apple employee or executive.

The Mac Studio will not only be known for its computing power. The Apple desktop system allows creative professionals to be in their most comfortable element by providing an array of easily reachable connectivity.

Ports are now included in the front so users wouldn't have to feel the back of the desktop system to plud in their jacks. This convenient access contains two USB-C ports and an SD Card slot in the front. The back of the Mac Studio contains a wide array of ports in the back, including four Thunderbolt 4 ports, and HDMI, two USB-A ports, and the always-present audio jack.

Studio Display: The Perfect Complement of Beauty to the Mac Studio's Brawn

Unfortunately, the Mac Studio is not sold with its own display. However, that is what Apple's Studio Display is for.

Studio Display
Apple Studio Display resell prices goes up to a staggering $3,000. Here’s the reason behind it: Apple

The Studio Display acts as the perfect monitor capable of presenting life-like visuals rendered by the Mac Studio's power. It is built with a stunning 27-inch 5K Retina screen with over 14.7 million pixels so Apple fans can imagine the level of visual experience they are about to have.

It also has a feature that automatically adjusts the display's color temperature depending on the user's environment, a top-of-the-line anti-reflective coating, and a nano-texture glass that minimizes glare.

Not only is the Studio Display great for displaying beautiful images, it also looks like a stunner in itself with its slim aluminum design and nice features. Its built-in stand also allows its display to be tilted up to 30 degrees. A VESA mount adapter option will even allow the display to be place in either a landscape or portrait orientation.

How Much Will They Cost?

A fair warning: the Mac Studio and Studio Display will be sold separately.

For starters, the Mac Studio with an M1 Max chip has a price tag of $1,999 whereas models with M1 Ultra are sold at $3,999.

The Studio Display costs $1,599.

Additional features for both these products will increase the price.

Both products are now available for preorder. However, March 18 will be the official date of the products' release.

If these prices seem steep, Apple and Mac fans need not worry as Apple Trade In is still a available as a decent option to minimize the hit on their wallets.
