PlayStation exclusive Bugsnax is changing its ways as it is coming to Xbox consoles this April via the Xbox Game Pass service.
In addition to that, the gaming title will also be available on the Nintendo Switch, along with a new free DLC expansion that goes by the name Bugsnax & The Isle of Bigsnax.
PlayStation Exclusive Bugsnax
As per a news story by Kotaku, the indie adventure game first saw the light of day as part of the launch lineup of the then-new PlayStation 5 or PS5.
It debuted in 2020 along with other Sony first-party gaming titles, such as the Demon's Souls remake and Astro's Playroom.
Despite that, Bugsnax was simultaneously made available to the players of PS4, as well as PC gamers via the Epic Games Store.
That said, the indie adventure was initially released exclusively to the PlayStation platform, ditching other rivaling gaming consoles from Nintendo and Xbox.
Bugsnax Coming to Xbox, Switch
This time around, the PS5 launch game Bugsnax is reaching other rivaling consoles, namely, the Xbox One, the Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, beginning on April 28.
The developer of the former PS exclusive game, Young Horses, already confirmed that Bugsnax will be part of the Xbox Game Pass library.
The creative director of Young Horses, Kevin Zuhn, stated that the first-person adventure game is also coming to PC Games Pass.
What's more, the Young Horses creative director also confirmed that it is also reaching the Xbox cloud gaming (Beta) and Windows 10 PCs, starting on April 28.
According to a recent report by Polygon, subscribers of the Game Pass service are getting day-one access to Bugsnax on the same day that it debuts on Xbox consoles, PC, and Cloud.
Another PlayStation Exclusive Coming to Xbox
It turns out that Bugsnax is not the only PS exclusive gaming title that is coming to the rival platform of the Sony console, Xbox.
Kotaku noted in the same report that another game is going to be a former PS exclusive this week as it makes its way to Xbox.
The RPG title, Godfall, which was initially released exclusively to PS5 and PC, was also released to both the Xbox Series X/S and the Xbox One last April 7.
Last summer, or on August 10, 2021, the devs of the PS5 exclusive, Gearbox, brought the RPG adventure to PS4 players.
It is worth noting that Godfall was like Bugsnax. It was among the PS5 launch games, along with hyped titles like Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Now, both gaming titles are coming to other gaming consoles apart from the Sony PS platform.
