Slimmer, leaner yet meaner.

Lenovo unveiled today its new generation of slim series laptops in the US, which include Slim 9i, the Slim 7i and Slim7i Pro X, the Slim 7i Carbon and the Slim 7. And they are powered by either 12th Gen Intel or AMD Ryzen 6000-series.

The new line of laptops offers decent boosts in performance, longevity and screen quality. They are slimmer and leaner, as thin as 15.9 mm (0.63 in), but are equally powerful for your everyday use.

Slim Series Laptops are Lighter But With Elevated Specs

Lenovo just announced the release of Slim 7i Pro X and Slim 7 Pro X laptops. The units are almost the same, except for the fact that the Slim 7i Pro X has a 12th Gen Intel processor while the Slim 7 Pro X runs on an AMD Ryzen 6000-series chip, as per Window Central report.

Aside from running on the latest CPUs, you can expect up to LPDDR5 RAM and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 laptop graphics. Despite their relatively high specs, both machines are also very lightweight at 1.6 kg (3.5 pounds). The 7i Pro X starts at $1,699 and the 7 Pro X starts at $1,499.

Both Slim 7i Pro X and Slim 7 Pro X have 14.5 inches display and have a resolution of 3K. If you find the 14-inch laptops to be too small, go for the 16-inch Slim 7. You can get this model in AMD or Intel (Slim 7i) CPU.

The Slim 7i comes with up to an Intel Core i7-12700H CPU while the AMD-based Slim 7 is packed with up to a Ryzen 7 6800HS Creator Edition processor.

Both the Slim 7i and Slim 7 come with a 16-inch, 2560 x 1600-pixel, IPS, 500-nit, 16:10 display, however, the former is a 120Hz panel while the latter offers a 165Hz screen.

The AMD-based, 16-inch Slim 7 starts at $1,499. The 16-inch Slim 7i starts at $1,599. Both laptops will be launched in June.
