Following an outage that lasted nine hours, Xbox users found themselves unable to launch cloud games, play digital games, and make purchases from its stores.
It's the second outage issue that started at around 4 p.m. ET Saturday and was not resolved until early Sunday morning, as per the Verge report. The first one started on Friday and extended until Saturday morning.
In a tweet, Microsoft acknowledged that some users were unable to launch and purchase games or join Cloud Gaming session. Around that time, the service Downdetector also logged a spike in error reports, according to Engadget.
Xbox Outage Frustrates Players
The massive outage, spanning several hours long, frustrate some players who are hoping to enjoy their weekend game.
Issues include players unable to start Cloud Gaming sessions, launch digital games, make purchases, and even access streaming apps including Netflix and Disney Plus, The Verge reported.
Microsoft actually admitted that their users who were struggling, during the earlier outage, accessing streaming apps such as Netflix and Disney+.
The tech company claimed to have fully resolved the Friday outage at 1 p.m. on Saturday, according to Engadget. But about three hours before, users began complaining again.
Issues with the stores, digital titles, and Cloud Gaming resurfaced on Saturday night. Using their home console, players should've been able to play games offline during the outage. However, The Verge reported that some that Xbox still prompted users to sign in to play their own games.

Microsoft Resolves Xbox Outage Issues
The first outage that started on Friday was already resolved by Saturday morning. But hours later, at around 4PM ET Saturday, complaints started to spike again. This was resolved only on Sunday morning.
In a tweet from Xbox Support on May 8, Xbox advised players to reboot their console if they are still experiencing issues.
"Players may be seeing improvement when purchasing & launching games & Cloud Gaming sessions. We are working on a full resolution. If you still see issues, rebooting your console may help," Xbox Support posted on Twitter.
By 1:30 p.m. on May 8, Xbox Support announced that players should no longer be seeing issues when it comes to purchases, launching games, or joining Cloud Gaming sessions.
Microsoft expressed its gratitude to the players for being patient and wished them happy gaming.
Xbox is a video gaming brand created and owned by Microsoft. It consists of five video game consoles, in addition to applications or games, streaming services, an online service by the name of Xbox network, as well as the development arm by the name of Xbox Game Studios.
With the launch of the original Xbox console, the brand was first introduced in the United States in November 2001.
