The New Aya Neo 2 and Aya Slide vs Steam Deck

The APU Ryzen 7 6800 has eight cores and is based on the Zen 3 plus architecture. A Radeon 680M integrated graphics processor with 12 CUs is also included .

The Steam Deck, by contrast, includes a quad-core AMD APU based on the older Zen 2 architecture, as well as an iGPU with RDNA 2 graphics and eight CUs. The Neo 2 and Neo Slide may be able to outperform the Steam Deck based on these specifications, but we can't say for sure until we see them in action.

Aya Neo Slide Design

The Verge noted that the Neo Slide has an intriguing design as the screen folds up to expose an illuminated RGB keypad. It's uncertain how effectively this would function, but sliding up your screen and typing to friends without interrupting gameplay would be very interesting.

Aya Neo 2 Design

While both the Slide and the Neo 2 will support LPDDR5-6400 RAM, the Neo 2 will also include PCIe 4.0 storage, USB 4.0 connectors, and a fingerprint scanner. The device's appearance has also been modified, in addition to some internal improvements. The Neo 2 replaces the sharper edges of its predecessor with softer corners, making it look more like the Aya Neo Next device announced earlier this year. As per The Verge, it also has a new dark/light gray color scheme that reminds me of old Nintendo consoles.

When Will the Aya Neo 2 and Aya Slide Be Available for Purchase?

The Neo Slide and Neo 2 won't be available until later this year, Aya Neo said. However, The Verge noted that while no pricing information is available, the devices are unlikely to be affordable - the Aya Neo, Aya Neo Pro, and Aya Neo Next all cost more than $1,000, far more than the Steam Deck's $399 starting price.

What Is the Difference Between Valve's Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch?

According to a different The Verge report, the most apparent comparison for the Steam Deck is Nintendo's Switch, especially the forthcoming OLED model, which has a comparable handheld configuration, screen size, and style. Both gadgets also have 720p touchscreen displays.

The Switch is almost certainly the less powerful device of the two as it has Nvidia's Tegra X1 chipset, an Arm-based processor that's over four years old. On the other hand, the Steam Deck's AMD Zen 2 CPU and next-gen RDNA 2 GPU, architectures that also appear in the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
