It is worth noting that the battle royale title is also available on Nintendo Switch, but its support for Fortnite wallet has yet to make it to its players.

Fortnite PlayStation Support for Shared V-Bucks

As per a new story by The Verge, the Fornite developer, Epic Games, announced that the support for its shared Fortnite V-Bucks is also coming to the gaming consoles of Sony, such as the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PS5.

The news outlet noted that the official in-game currency of Fortnite that goes by the name V-Bucks used to be locked up to the platforms of Sony. As such, it prevented its players from PS4 or PS5 from using their wallet balance on other platforms, such as Xbox and PC, among others.

But change is coming to the Epic Games battle royal title once it hits v20.40, which is about to see the light of day on May 17, Tuesday.

Thus, once the latest update starts rolling out to Fortnite players, they could begin using their V-Bucks balance in almost all gaming platforms wherein the blockbuster gaming title is available.

The Verge went on to highlight that Fortnite is not any other game on PlayStation.

In fact, the Epic Games battle royale is second to none in terms of downloads in the cramped free-to-play category of both the PS4 and PS5.

It took the top spot for three consecutive months, February, March, and April, not only in the United States but in the European region as well.

So, it is safe to say that there are massive amounts of V-Bucks stuck on the platform, which are set to be available to other gaming clients soon.

Thus, almost all of the platforms that the game is available on now support shared V-Bucks wallets. Well, except for the handheld console of Nintendo.

Fortnite PlayStation's Shared V-Bucks: How to Use it

According to a recent report by Gaming Intel, the V-Bucks shared wallet only works when players link their accounts on various platforms to their Epic Games profile.

To do so, head straight to your Epic Games Account via a web browser. Go to your display name and click the Account menu.

Then, select Connections and click Accounts. From there, click the PSN icon to sign in and link your PlayStation account.
