Fortnite's new Social Tags feature helps its players find better teammates more suited to their gameplay and personality, which Epic Games is still testing.
The phenomenal battle royale of Epic Games, Fortnite, recently rolled out a couple of exciting offerings, such as new content and features.
Fortnite Social Tags
While it has been a few weeks since Chapter 3, Season 3 of Fortnite first saw the light of day, its updates still see tons of new exciting offerings.
In fact, the latest season of the battle royale title recently introduced a new handy feature that goes by the name Social Tags.
Fortnite, like most battle royale games, is quite frustrating to play alone when paired with random teammates, as per a news story by The Verge.
Well, in some cases you are faced with the best squadmates, helping you get that win.
But it mostly involves having squadmates doing strategies that are not complementary to your game style. And this could get devastatingly a waste of time as you all end up dying early on.
It is an entirely different story when teaming up with good ol' friends. But they might not be available most of the time, forcing Fortnite players to go solo every so often.
Thankfully, the Epic Games flagship title introduces a new Social Tags feature. Essentially, it enables players to find fewer random teammates, allowing them to match up with folks more alike to their style of gaming.
Social Tags determine the preferred game mode of players before teaming them up. It considers whether players are "Chill" or if they want to have their mic turned on or off.
The feature would allow players with matching social tags to invite you to enter the same battle, as long as you are in the same server region. But this only happens when Fortnite gamers toggle on the "Looking For Party" function.
How to Add Fortnite Social Tags
But how do you get this new Fortnite feature?
The new Social Tags function goes live when Fortnite gamers toggle on the "Looking For Party" function.
On the other hand, when it is disabled, invites from players with similar social tags would not come in.
It is worth noting that the new Fortnite feature is still in its testing phase. So, if you are missing the "Looking For Party" option, there is no need to panic.
According to a recent report by DBLTAP, Fortnite players should also update to the latest version of the game to receive the new Social Tags function.
