Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed III Liberation is now completely delisted on Steam. And soon enough, it would, unfortunately, be entirely unplayable for folks who bought the gaming title.
The delistment shortly comes after the Assassin's Creed publisher, Ubisoft, has announced that it is decommissioning its online support for some games.
Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed III Liberation Steam Edition Delisted
As per a news story by PCGamesN, the French game publisher Ubisoft has deleted the Steam edition of Assassin's Creed Liberation, preventing new players from getting their hands on the action-adventure title.
Besides its delisting on Steam, it appears that current owners of Assassin's Creed III Liberation could no longer access the game by September.
The British gaming news outlet, PCGamesN, highlights that Ubisoft failed to include the Assassin's Creed III Liberation to its recent list of games that would end support this September 2022.
But despite that, the only Assassin's Creed release that centers on a black female protagonist is now gone on Steam. The listing now explains that it was "at the request of the publisher."
Assassin's Creed III Liberation Unplayable Soon?
While most delisted games are typically unhampered from being playable, Ubisoft is going against the tide with the Assassin's Creed III Liberation.
The Steam listing of the action-adventure gaming title says it would be unplayable starting September.
The Assassin's Creed III Liberation page notifies its users that it "will not be accessible following September 1st, 2022."
It means that even if you have previously bought the Assassin's Creed title from Steam, you are likely to lose it from your library by this September.
It is worth noting that the official online storefront of the French game publisher, Ubisoft Connect, does not have any listing of Liberation.
And as such, it appears that the delisting from Steam now makes it impossible to be purchased - except via the Assassin's Creed III Remastered.
Not to mention that in roughly two months, current players would no longer be able to access the game completely.

Three Ubisoft Games to be Unplayable Too?
Meanwhile, according to the latest report by PC Gamer, more Ubisoft games appear to be approaching their unplayable states as well as the game publisher decommissioning its online support.
Ubisoft also requested Steam to delist another game, the Silent Hunter 5. Thus, it now also gets the same notice, saying it would no longer be available starting Sept. 1.
Apart from Silent Hunter 5, other Ubisoft offerings, such as the Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and the Splinter Cell Blacklist also get the same notification.
