Customers are Receiving M2 Macbook Air in Some Countries

Customers who ordered the ‌M2‌ ‌MacBook Air‌ last week during the pre-order period are starting to receive their new machine.

The first one who will receive their ‌M2‌ ‌MacBook Air‌ from an Apple Store are the customers in Australia since New Zealand does not have Apple retail locations.

Based on the available ‌MacBook Air‌ stock in Australia, we will have an idea of what we might be able to expect from other stores around the world.

It is likely that Apple have stock machines available. However, according to MacRumors, you will have to order custom configurations online.

Just after ‌M2‌ ‌MacBook Air‌ was launched, delivery dates for the machine slipped. This suggests that it is in short supply. ‌

If you ordered M2‌ ‌MacBook Air‌ models online, it will not be shipped out until mid to late August because of the supply constraints.

After New Zealand and Australia, Apple will start shipping M2 ‌MacBook Air‌ to Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and then North America.

‌M2‌ ‌MacBook Air‌ price starts at $1,199 in the United States. The machine features an updated ‌M2‌ chip with a faster 8-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU.

The body of the machine has been redesigned and it now includes a larger 13.6-inch display. It has a MacBook Pro-like chassis with no taper, MagSafe charging, plus new colors like Midnight Blue and Starlight.

What Does the New M2 MacBook Air Offer?

The 13-inch MacBook Pro kept exactly the same design as its previous version. However, it is a different case for the new MacBook Air as Apple boasts its all-new design, which is now similar to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, according to 9to5Mac.

Apple no longer use the wedge-shaped design in favor of flatter sides. The screen of the new machine has also been updated. The new Macbook Air screen goes edge-to-edge. It also has a notch at the top for the latest 1080p webcam.

With Apple's M2 chip, it is 20% faster compared to the entry-level M1. The new MacBook Air is available with up to 24GB of unified RAM, as well as up to 2TB of storage.

The entry level model comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. But you might reconsider getting a 256GB model since based on test, it has a slower SSD.
