The Callisto Protocol Gets an Extended Trailer: Watch It Here!

Another sneak peak at The Callisto Protocol's inhabitants has been provided by Striking Distance Studios CEO Glen Schofield.

Schofield elaborated on the creation and writing process of the upcoming sci-fi horror in a recent interview (via Euro Gamer).

Fans would be thrilled as Schofield gave a sneak peak at the game's oppressively dark environments, our arsenal of weapons, and the many tactics we might employ to shoot off pieces of the horrifying enemies.

Brief Background on The Callisto Protocol

It was created by some of the same inventive minds behind Dead Space. A survival horror game called The Callisto Protocol claims to be the Dead Space series' spirtual successor, as we have previously reported. It takes place 300 years in the future, when humans have colonized Callisto, one of Jupiter's moons, and established Black Iron Prison along the way.

The game would have Dead Space's "diegetic" HUD, which allows players to view the protagonist's health and other information through the avatar, suit, gun overlays, etc. of the protagonist.

Additionally, the players will use a third-person perspective to control the game's protagonist as they strive to escape the prison alive while navigating terrifying obstacles and learning about a plot and the mysteries held there.

When Will the Game Be Available?

IGN listed the available editions of the game, all of which are currently available for preorder, which we have compiled below. On Dec. 2, The Callisto Protocol will be available on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
