Apple Watch Series 7 Edition is now sold out in the United States ahead of the much-awaited release of the Apple Watch Series 8 "Pro" variant.
Although the Cupertino-based tech giant has yet to formally confirm that it is releasing a "Pro" version of the Apple Watch, rumors have been suggesting it all along.
Apple Watch Series 7 Edition Sold Out in the US
According to a recent report by Mac Rumors, the online listing of the Apple Watch Series 7 Edition on the website of the iPhone maker now says that it is out of stock.
The Apple Website in the US specifically states that the Edition model of the smart wearable is "currently unavailable," preventing customers from checking it out for purchase.
It is worth noting that the Edition models of the Apple Watch also ran out of stock in other locations, such as the United Kingdom and Canada. But Mac Rumor vaguely notes that it has also become unavailable in "select other countries."
Meanwhile, as per a news story 9to5 Mac, the Series 7 Edition is also hard to get by even in the in-store pickup option, which further confirms that it has run out of stock.
The unavailability of the high-end variant of the Apple Watch coincidentally comes as the renowned tech giant is rumored to be introducing a new "Pro" variant for its next-generation smartwatch.
Apple Watch Series 7 Edition
9to5 Mac highlights in its report that the "Edition" variant of the Apple Watch is essentially the higher-end or premium tier of the wrist device. Thus, it is the more hefty-priced version in the lineup.
The "Edition" notably flaunts a titanium finish, giving the Apple Watch a more durable casing. Not to mention that it gives it a more premium overall vibe.
It is interesting to note that Apple once tried other finishes for the high-end variant, such as ceramic and gold. However, the Series 7 only sported the titanium finish.
However, despite the upgrade in the outer finish of the smartwatch, Apple kept the same internal specs as the lower-end models had.
Apple Watch Series 8 Pro: Here's What to Expect
But this time, Apple is reportedly gearing up to release a high-end variant that bumps up its hardware, aptly named the "Pro" variant.
The Cupertino tech behemoth is expected to debut the new Apple Watch Series 8, which comes with new variants, along with the all-new iPhone 14 lineup.
Besides the Pro version, the tech giant is reportedly introducing a new "Rugged" option.
