An image of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has leaked online with a blue color option.
Samsung announced the third-generation of its Galaxy Tab series, which included the 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch models in June this year. The successors to the Galaxy Tab 2 devices were released in the U.S. in July 2013.
The Korean company initially launched the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 in only two color options: White and Gold Brown. However, per a leaked render of the tablet courtesy of @evleaks, it seems that a new blue color model may soon hit the shelves.
"Samsung's industry-leading smartphones, Note devices and tablets address consumers' diverse demands and personal preferences. The Galaxy Tab 3 portfolio offers consumers more options for tablets that serve as their ultimate smartphone companion, the center of home and on-the-go use, and mobile devices packed with content and services," said Nanda Ramachandran, VP of emerging business at Samsung Telecommunications America at the launch of the Galaxy Tab 3 series of tablets.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is expected to lure consumers who want to buy a smaller tablet that will be a handy companion if they want to stay connected when on-the-go. Samsung claims that the tablet is compact enough to slide into handbags or a jacket pocket.
The slate comes pre-loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and it's expected to get an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software update soon.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 packs in decent features. The tablet sports a 7-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. A dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz powers the tablet. The device also includes a 4,000mAh battery.
The new 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab is equipped with a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The tablet has 1GB of RAM and is available in 8/16/32 GB internal storage option.
However, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 faces stiff competition from other smaller tablets in the markets such as the Nexus 7, iPad mini and more.
keep in mind that Samsung has not yet announced the blue color of the tablet, which means that the blue version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 remains in the rumor state for now.
