You must have heard of Ben Affleck as he made headlines this year after marrying Jennifer Lopez. But besides being the husband of the biggest name in the world, he is also a renowned actor.

The American actor and filmmaker who played leading roles in action, drama, and comedy films was born on Aug. 15, 1972 in Berkeley, California.

'Argo' (2012)

This American political thriller was released in 2012. The events of the 1979-81 Iran hostage crisis served as inspiration for the Argo. It revolves on a group of American embassy personnel who managed to flee the hostage-takers, and managed to leave the nation by posing as a Canadian film crew. According to Britannica, the movie received positive reviews from critics and even won the Academy Award for best picture.

'Gone Girl' (2016)

The world is given a glimpse inside a happy marriage by former New York-based author Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) and his beautiful wife Amy (Rosamund Pike), as per Rotten Tomatoes. But after Amy vanishes on their fifth wedding anniversary, Nick is named the main suspect in her absence. Due to the subsequent police pressure and media hysteria, the Dunnes' portrayal of a blissful marriage falls apart, raising intriguing concerns about Nick and Amy's real identities.

'Justice League' (2017)

Warner Bros explained that Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck), motivated by his renewed faith in people and moved by Superman's noble deed, enlists Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), a new ally, to assist him fight an even more formidable foe.

They must assemble a group of metahumans to battle a recently awakened enemy. As a result, Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) formed an unprecedented alliance of heroes.

'State Of Play' (2009)

According to Roger Ebert, the city room of a newspaper and the corridors of Congress serve as the settings for the clever, inventive thriller "State of Play." It is also a political film; the antagonist is a shady company that hires mercenaries and security personnel in Iraq under contract with the government. This well-made film, which Kevin Macdonald ("The Last King of Scotland") directed, features some excellent performances.

'The Town' (2010)

With the exception of James (Jeremy Renner), who is like a brother to him, Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) has no real attachments with anyone else, as described by Rotten Tomatoes. When James kidnaps Claire Keesey, a bank clerk, everything for Doug changes. Doug, who is a violent bank robber and leads a group of criminals, goes looking for her after learning that she lives in the gang's neighborhood to find out what she knows. However, he ends up falling in love with her. As their relationship develops, he wants to leave his life as a criminal, but doing so could endanger Claire.
